Costao is a duty conscious, fearless and determined Customs officer positioned at Goa. He is an affectionate family man and lives with his wife and three little children. He is obsessed with catching smugglers and gets tips from his informer from time to time. On one occasion while apprehending a young smuggler ferrying gold bars he gets into a scuffle with him and accidentally kills him in self defense. On a complaint of a relative of the deceased man, the authorities file a charge of murder against Costao. It is now up to Costao's lawyers to prove that this was an accident in the line of duty.
